Lodging Range/ "courthouse" rear of the George Public House, High Street, Great Missenden - Chiltern

C15 timber framed range, probably built as a court house. Structural problems at one end which is propped with scaffolding to prevent collapse. Although a Community Interest Company has expressed interest in restoring the building and the pub associated with it they have not been able to reach agreement with the owner to purchase it. Proposals for residential conversion are currently being considered by the Local Authority.
