Market House, Market Street, St. Austell - Cornwall (UA)

Large town centre Market House built in 1844. It is formed of a town hall facing the church with an imposing street frontage and with a large glazed market area behind. Leaks and other rainwater system faults to the town hall and especially to the glazed market area are getting steadily worse. Occupancy rates in both areas have fallen as a result. Major repairs to all parts of the building are now needed before the building becomes beyond repair. A project is now being developed for which consents have been applied.
