Entrance gate and flanking walls forming mock fortifications to east of Prideaux Place, Padstow - Cornwall (UA)

Late C16 reused Catacleuse arched gateway with C18 flanking turrets, decorated with crenellations. Slate stone. Narrow blind arrow slits. Capping failure has led to water penetration through the piers (which are thought to be solid and not hollow). There is cracking of stone, movement of archway, bulging stone plinth and washed out mortar joints. Advice has been given but no works have been undertaken.
