Gatehouse to west of Manor Farmhouse, Whatley - Somerset Council (UA)

Gatehouse, C15 built from random local limestone rubble with a plain tile roof. Two storeys, all window openings blocked apart from left side of ground floor. The arched entry is slightly left of centre and there is a Tudor arch doorway within the passage. Rear has stone steps to first floor doorway on the left side. The building is showing signs of structural movement to the south gable and significant deflection to the roof. Some areas of stone work are very weak, particularly around the small door under the arch. The vegetation to the east side needs to be removed.
