Wollaton Hall, Wollaton Park - Nottingham, City of (UA)

Country house, now a museum,1580-88, by Robert Smythson. Altered late C17 and again early C19. Converted to a museum in 1925. Of square plan with symmetrical fronts. The central hall is topped by a prospect room and there are projecting towers to corners. By 2022, there was significant water ingress through the towers and terrace. An Arts Council England MEND grant was awarded for repairs in early 2023.
