Loggia in the grounds of Thames Eyot, Cross Deep, Twickenham - Richmond upon Thames
Stone loggia of nine Doric columns, probably C18, situated in the grounds of Thames Eyot, a block of 1930s flats on the bank of the Thames. The roof has suffered partial collapse and structural movement has caused distortion to the colonnade. An options appraisal was completed in 2011 but not taken forward. The loggia has been propped with scaffolding under a time-limited Listed Building Consent in 2020 and this should prevent major loss of fabric whilst the freeholders develop a permanent scheme. A Listed Building Consent application for further structural investigation has been approved.
