Cromford Mill, Buildings 1, 18 and Aqueduct, Mill Road, Cromford - Derbyshire Dales

Cotton mill factory complex from 1771. Building 18, the first mill, suffered significant fire damage in 1929. The ground floor houses an introductory film; the upper storey is unused and dilapidated. The lightweight roof structure and asbestos roof covering are failing. Drainage is problematic. Historic England awarded Covid 19 Emergency Response Fund grants to address loss of revenue and subsequently project development grants to assess re-roofing options and, for Building 1, render issues. Historic England grant aided 'interim' re-roofing works and render repairs will take place in 2024
