Former maltings of Bass Industrial Estate, Mareham Lane, Sleaford - North Kesteven
Maltings, 1892-1905. A vast complex of buildings. Long disused and has suffered from fires and vandalism. A feasibility study was undertaken in collaboration with Phoenix Trust. The site was sold. Planning permission and Listed Building Consent was given for mixed use development and conversion several years ago, but this has not been implemented. The buildings and site continue to deteriorate. The site owner and developer appear to have no active plans for development, repair or re-use of the buildings, though adjacent developments progress.
