Sneaths Mill, Lutton Gowts, Lutton - South Holland
Octagonal brick tower windmill, 1779, incorporating the remains of an earlier C18 mill. Unique in Lincolnshire and the oldest surviving tower mill in the county. Ceased to work in the 1930s and emergency repairs carried out in 1992. Historic England funded urgent repairs to make the building weather tight in 2011 and a comprehensive assessment of the timber machinery in 2018. Planning permission has been obtained to convert the outbuildings and piggery. A National Lottery Heritage Fund grant was awarded to help the Sneaths Mill Trust to develop a comprehensive project and build capacity.
