West Stable At Shireoaks Hall, Shireoaks - Bassetlaw

Early C18 stable and outbuildings, possibly by Sir Thomas Hewitt, located north west of the Hall. Set in C17 and early C18 formal landscape. A pair to the East Stable. Historic England visited with Council representatives in 2019 by which time there are many slipped and broken roof slates. Past slate repairs were failing; the north ridge was missing; rainwater disposal was problematic, and the building was shrouded in vegetation. Historic England encouraged the owner to take positive action and, subsequently, the local authority to consider options to secure this site. Progress is unknown.
