Shireoaks Hall, Thorpe Lane, Shireoaks - Bassetlaw

Country house, circa 1600 with later alterations, set in remains of C17 and early C18 gardens. The hall has been much altered historically. The building has been neglected for many years and, by 2019, there was significant cracking and loose masonry at high level; the roof was evidently in poor condition; some ceiling plaster had failed, and rainwater goods appeared to be ineffective. The north elevation was shrouded in vegetation. Historic England has encouraged the owner and local authority to consider options to secure this site, but we are not aware of any positive change.
