Ravensworth Castle, Cross Lane, Lamesley - Gateshead

Medieval castle of which two C14 corner towers and part of its curtain wall survive in poor condition, as well as associated archaeological deposits. A detailed repair scheme for the medieval castle remains has been prepared, and contractors appointed by the owners to implement this. Current plans are for this work to be phased over 5 years, and this began in 2018
