Pendover Tower, Ludlow Castle, Ludlow - Shropshire (UA)

Ludlow Castle is one of England's finest and best-preserved castles. it played an important role as seat of the president of the Council of the Marches and demonstrates significant phases of development between C11 and C16. Construction began shortly after the Norman Conquest with the inner bailey in which all the components of the early Norman castle survive, including the square mural towers. The standing ruin that is the north east Pendover Tower requires assorted structural repairs and general consolidation for which a repair grant application to Historic England is anticipated.
