Chatterley Whitfield Colliery, Biddulph Road, Stoke-on-Trent - Stoke-on-Trent, City of (UA)

The colliery site is comprises 13 grade II listed buildings, two grade II* listed buildings, a scheduled monument and a number of non-designated structures. Five buildings are included within the scheduling, including three of the oldest colliery buildings on site (Winstanley Headgear and Heapstead, Platt Shaft and Headgear and Platt Winding House). These buildings are in a poor and deteriorating condition. The City Council are exploring long term solutions to adress the site, which include repair, consolidation and reuse.
