Large redundant C19-C20 colliery in need of major repair and regeneration. The site includes 15 scheduled structures and five listed buildings. A heritage based regeneration programme was started based on a masterplan but a long term solution still needs to be agreed. The City Council are continuing to explore longer term proposals which include reuse of the site.
