Sheriff Hutton Castle, Main Street, Sheriff Hutton - Ryedale

Ruinous castle begun in 1382 by John, Lord Neville, with C15 gatehouse inserted. Vulnerable to weathering. A condition survey was funded by Historic England and Phase I repairs, also funded by Historic England, are complete. Emergency works to south west tower are complete. The castle is in a relatively stable condition.
