Rockingham Kiln (Swinton Pottery) - Rotherham
Bottle kiln built in 1815, named to commemorate the Battle of Waterloo. The kiln is the principal surviving element of the celebrated Rockingham Porcelain Factory, which was financed by the Earl Fitzwilliam and named after his uncle the Marquis of Rockingham. The upper part is open jointed with some woody plant growth. Historic England has offered grant towards repair and work should be complete in late 2024.
