Central buffet at Custom House, Royal Albert Dock E16 - Newham

Restaurant built in 1883 to the design of Vigers and Wagstaffe in a free Classical style. Now owned by the Greater London Authority. Security has been improved and some emergency repairs undertaken. Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent were previously granted for restoration and use as a restaurant as part of the wider Royals Business Park development of Albert Dock under a different owner. However, this scheme will no longer go ahead. No revised plans have been brought forward, but options for re-use are being explored.
