Longton Central Methodist Hall - Stoke-on-Trent, City of (UA)

Longton Central Methodist Hall was developed from an 1842 chapel that was altered in the late C19 and completed in 1933. The building retains much of its high-quality interior including its large assembly hall with a gallery and lantern supported on slender fluted columns with a panelled coffered ceiling. Assorted structural repairs, replacement of defective rainwater goods and renewal of roof coverings are all required to address water ingress. A Historic England repair grant to address emergency repairs was awarded in August 2023 and works are due to be completed in Summer 2024.
