Former Infirmary Stables, Arborfield Garrison, Barkham - Wokingham (UA)

A specialised 'horse hospital' built 1911-12. The building became redundant by virtue of changes in army practices (reduced cavalry activity). Planning Permission for the development of Arborfield Garrison included a requirement to repair the stables. Works to clear asbestos from the site and repair the external envelope have been completed. An end use for the building is being considered and long-term management/maintenance plan agreed.
