Toll Gate House, Spaniards Road, Highgate NW3 - Camden
Late C18 toll house, marking the spot where the road entered the Bishop of London's estate. It stands at a traffic bottleneck on a busy road and has suffered impact damage from heavy vehicles. A bollard was erected in late 2008 to provide protection from traffic. Roof and guttering repair works have been undertaken and the property is regularly inspected. It is now in good condition; but remains unoccupied.
