Amberley Limeworks; entrance buildings, Kiln 2 and Office, Houghton Bridge, Houghton / Amberley, Horsham - South Downs (NP)
C19 lime works including kilns and associated buildings. Historic England grant aided repairs to the Locomotive Shed, Blacksmith's Shop and part of the Loading Shed are now complete. However, the ingress of rainwater, vegetation growth and decay have led to structural weaknesses to the rest of the Loading Shed, the Southern Lime Kilns and Kiln No. 2. The De Witt Kilns were added to the Register following the collapse of part of the parapet wall in 2021. Secured Arts Council England funding in 2022 for repairs to the Loading Shed.
