Tilty Mill, Tilty - Uttlesford
Watermill, early C18. Milling machinery intact. Evidence of major structural failure which is endangering interior features. The Local Authority served an Urgent Works Notice in 2018 to make the building wind and watertight. This has now been complied with, however a comprehensive programme of repairs is needed. Discussions continue between Historic England and the Local Authority in relation to the preparation of a full schedule of repairs and service of a Repairs Notice.
