Leigh Spinners Mill, Park Lane - Wigan

Double cotton mill, 1913 with a 1923 extension, in partial use. Large steam engine in situ. Sections of the roof are in urgent need of repair. Leigh Spinners Building Preservation Trust has taken on the steam engine and engine house. Historic England grants have enabled repairs to the engine house to allow volunteers to work safely on the machinery. A scheme to waterproof the roof of Mill 2 started on site in April 2018, grant aided by Historic England.
