Remains of Up Holland Benedictine Priory, Church Street, Up Holland - West Lancashire

Remains of a Benedictine priory dating to the C14. The above-ground remains form the boundary wall between the Conservative Club car park and the Priory House. This wall is suffering from crumbling stone and defective pointing. There is extensive ivy growth with roots penetrating through the wall. There is a further risk of damage to the walls due to the windsail effect of the ivy.
