Cambridge Hall, Cambridge Avenue, Kilburn NW6 - Brent

A prefabricated structure of corrugated iron with boarded roof covered in corrugated asbestos, built in 1863 as St James's Episcopal Chapel. Home to the Willesden & St Marylebone Cadet Corps since 1920, they converted the interior to resemble a boat, in itself of historic interest. Historic England awarded a Covid-19 Emergency Heritage at Risk Response Fund grant in 2020 for high priority repairs. London Historic Buildings Trust has commissioned an options appraisal, funded by Historic England, prior to seeking funding for full repair. Discussions continue as to the future of the building.
