Lydney Docks and Harbour, Naas Lane, Lydney - Forest of Dean

The docks and harbour date from c1810 to 1821 and were once the main commercial port serving industry in the district. The Inner (Canal) Basin is in poor condition and needs extensive repairs. The docks have become a local tourist destination through the creation of toilets, visitor centre and café. The Environment Agency are working to find sustainable uses that will help with the repair and maintenance of the site. A Conservation Management Plan is being produced to inform future projects.
