Former Caird & Rayner Ltd Warehouse, 777-783, Commercial Road E14 - Tower Hamlets
Former sail makers and ship chandler's warehouse, 1869. A rare survival consisting of a brick skin enclosing a timber structure. The building was fire damaged, resulting in the loss of its roof covering. Urgent works were completed in April 2010. The Local Authority approved Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the conversion of the building to office use as part of the wider development of the site. Works are in progress on site and completion is expected in summer 2024.
