Quinan Stove, Waltham Abbey Royal Gunpowder Mills, Waltham Abbey - Epping Forest

A technologically innovative building of 1935. Eighteen bays in length with steel hooped frames and longitudinal purlins. There is extensive evidence of steelwork corrosion and the roof and windows are deteriorating. Historic England Heritage at Risk Grant accepted in July 2018 and a project development phase to identify a suitable conservation strategy is anticipated to be completed by late 2018.
