Chazey Farm barn, The Warren, Reading - Reading (UA)

A very large seven bay red brick barn C17 or earlier. There is structural cracking and the gable currently has temporary shoring. The building forms part of a larger site proposal for a healthcare development. Ground works for the new development commenced in spring 2010. Following close working between the leaseholder, Local Planning Authority and Historic England urgent work to prevent any further decay of the building was carried out in 2020. Work is still required to restore the barn and find a viable use for it.
