Maiden Street Methodist Church, Maiden Street, Weymouth - Dorset (UA)

Former Methodist church. Fire in January 2002 left the church a gutted, roofless ruin. Subsequent health and safety works completely cleared the interior. Consent was granted in 2007 but not implemented for conversion/ reconstruction to mixed residential and commercial use. The site changed hands in 2016. Historic England has been in discussions with the new owner regarding the options available to them and in May 2019, planning permission and listed building consent applications for residential conversion/ reconstruction were submitted.
