Garden House to north west of Charlton House, Charlton Road, Charlton SE7 - Greenwich

Small red brick garden house with undercroft and high pyramidal swept roof, dating from the mid to late C17 and attributed to Inigo Jones. It was previously used as a public lavatory, but is now vacant. A condition survey and heritage assessment commissioned by the Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust is now informing a programme of works to restore and re-use the building. The first phase of enabling works has mostly been completed. Historic England and the Trust are in discussions as to how the next phase of works might be approached.
