Woodland Fort, Crownhill Road, Crownhill - Plymouth, City of (UA)
Palmerston Fort, built between 1863 and 1869. Part of barrack block is in use as a social club, but the rest is empty. Remedial repairs have been undertaken and some of the heavy vegetation has recently been cleared. Site is prone to vandalism and rubbish dumping. Historic England grant-aided repair works in 2016-17 which has cleared part of the ditch and helped to drain the caponier, but considerable further work is still required.
