Tide Mill (known as the House Mill), Three Mill Lane E3 - Newham
Tide Mill dating from 1776 and last used in 1941. Much fabric has been repaired, but work is needed to the undershot water wheels and surviving machinery, and to find a solution to damage and restricted access caused by significantly increasing flooding at ground floor level. The House Mill Trust is working towards a sustainable strategy for repair of machinery and improvements to education and community facilities. Extensive repairs and decorative external works have been completed. Discussions are taking place with a number of stakeholders to find solutions to limit damage from flooding.
