133, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone E11 - Waltham Forest
One of six survivors from an original terrace of 12 'middle-class' three-storey houses called Assembly Row, built in 1767. Render and brickwork on the flank wall have suffered from considerable water ingress and are in a parlous condition. Following enforcement action, the roof coverings have been replaced and the front sash windows have been repaired. Historic England and the Local Authority have advised the owner on further necessary repair works, and the Local Authority is taking enforcement action, including for the unauthorised removal of two dormer windows.
