133, Whipps Cross Road, Leytonstone E11 - Waltham Forest

One of six survivors from an original terrace of 12 'middle-class' three storey houses called Assembly Row, built in 1767. The building has been illegally converted into flats and construction of an extension commenced without consent. Render and brickwork on the flank wall have suffered from considerable water ingress. Roof coverings are inadequate and windows require restoration. Historic England and the Local Authority have advised the owner on necessary repair works, and the Local Authority is taking enforcement action regarding the unauthorised works.
