Lupton House (Gramercy Hall School) - Torbay (UA)

C18 and C19 country house remodelled by G Wightwick c1840, with extensive ancillary buildings and fine Italianate garden. Altered after a fire in1928. In use as a school from mid C20 to 2004. A charitable trust has acquired the house and parts are used for weddings and community health activities. Historic England grant-aided development work to the Italianate Garden in 2015, and for a condition survey of the house and ancillary structures and emergency repairs, including a trial area of repair to the Italianate Garden, in 2017. Further major funding from other sources will be required.
