Foxdenton Hall, Foxdenton Lane, Chadderton - Oldham
Early C18 two storey house, built on a basement which reuses features and stonework from a building of 1620. It has a U-shaped plan with two-bay wings projecting either side. Original features remain, including some glazing, wall panelling and a fire surround. The house is vacant, and its condition is deteriorating with damage from water ingress, both through the roof and the basement, loss of pointing, and deterioration of windows. Discussions are ongoing with Oldham Council and funders regarding the necessary repair works and finding a long-term use for the building.
