The Monks Oven, Calder Abbey, Ponsonby, Cumberland Council (UA) - Lake District (NP)

Large detached oven associated with Calder Abbey. Roof, wall structure and pointing are in poor condition. Widespread and serious defects with the loss of the building possible in the short to medium term. In 2016 the oven was surveyed by Historic England using a laser scanner to record the structure and inform future repairs, but these have not been taken forward.
