Wheal Prosper pumping engine house 210 metres south of Eastcliff Farm, Breage - Cornwall (UA)

Despite repairs and stabilisation in the 1990s, Wheal Prosper’s pumping engine house has suffered recent stonework collapse above a rotten timber lintel and further collapse is likely above other rotting lintels. Much of the pointing is lost or loose and there appear to be structural cracks running from top to bottom, causing the stone to crack in one or two places. There is a concern that this may be due to subsidence associated with the adjoining mine shaft.
