Church of St Giles, Piper Lane, Carburton - Bassetlaw
Former church of C12 and C13 origins now consisting principally of a combined nave and chancel with bellcote to the west and mono-pitch vestry to the north side of the chancel. Externally the church has a cementitious render coat and there is evidence of structural movement to the east end gable. Nave roof covering appears functional. Vestry roof and rainwater goods are in need of repair. Water ingress internally has caused damage to the plasterwork and ceiling panels. The church was formally closed in October 2018. The current owners are keen to undertake repairs.
