Shrubland Hall, including attached Screen Walling on east Side, and Terraces and Balustrading on south and west Sides, Barham - Mid Suffolk
Country House built in three phases; 1770 by Paine, 1830 by Gandy Deering and 1830 by Charles Barry who added Italianate elements. The building is suffering from water ingress, internal and external damage to decorative plasterwork and stonework and rampant black mould as well as fungal growth. Ceilings have large areas of lathe and plaster damage. Stonework on the balustrades has been severely eroded. The condition of the building and decorative elements is deteriorating. Historic England and the Local Authority are working on a strategy for repairs and discussions are ongoing.
