Priory House, Much Wenlock - Shropshire (UA)

Following the Dissolution of Wenlock Priory in 1540, the site and its buildings were acquired by Thomas Lawley. The Lawleys and their successors occupied the C15 Prior's Lodging and C12 Infirmary which subsequently became known as the 'Abbey House' and has survived as a private residence to this day with few alterations. The roof of the Prior's lodging is covered by Harnage stone slates and requires complete renewal. A Historic England Project Development grant was awarded in September 2023 to identify a source of Harnage slate and other works to facilitate a re-roofing scheme.
