Church of St John the Baptist, Little Stretton - Harborough
Small parish church with fabric from C12, C13 and C15. Restored late C19 by H.L Goddard of Leicester. Tower masonry is weathered but whilst there are localised areas of defects, it appears to be generally structurally sound. The tower roof is poorly detailed and has been leaking for some time. Internal floors and access are poor. Pointing generally has eroded or is defective. Rainwater goods serving the nave and the chancel require overhauling. Below ground drainage may also be poor. An application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for repair programmes was unsuccessful in early 2019.
