The Tower, Plashett Park, Little Horsted, East Sussex

The tower was built in the 18th century. It was a verderer's tower and was used for signalling to a similar tower on the hill to the east of Firle Place. The job of a verderer was to look after the forest and to make sure no-one broke the law. Plashett Park belonged to Viscount Gage who also owned Firle Place.
