Roman Catholic Cathedral of St John the Baptist, Earlham Road, Norwich - Norwich

Cathedral church built 1882-1910 to the design of George Gilbert Scott Jnr and John Oldrid Scott. North and south Quire aisle roofs: gutter design and construction cannot manage the volume of water. Significant water ingress causing worsening structural timber decay in quire aisle roofs. Insufficient rainwater overflows. Metal abutment flashings have failed substantially; roof sheets cracking. Thermal movement. Investigations urgently required to scope the project and to prevent continuing damage.
