Gibraltar Tower, Heathfield Park, Heathfield, Heathfield and Waldron - Wealden

Ornamental tower within grade II registered Heathfield Park. Has been subject to repeated heritage crime leading to loss of windows, staircase and internal decorative scheme. This, combined with deteriorating roof covering, means that the building is not wind or watertight and continues to decline. Heritage crime prevention measures are in place. The Tower requires a full condition survey to understand the extent and costs of conservation work required. A temporary roof covering is needed as priority. Early stage discussions about a future use for the building are on-going.
