Old Pye House, West Street, HA1 3EL - Harrow
The C15 two-storey building was part of a larger hall building. It has a slate roof, timber-framed walls and gable ends with a central tie beam, and a plain kingpost. The south front is C18 or early C19 red brick. Unoccupied and in poor condition, the original first floor was removed when it was used as a plastics factory. Internal scaffolding has now been installed, a modern extension and yew tree have been removed, and the ground level lowered inside the building. Discussions about proposals, including external scaffolding, are taking place between the owner and the Local Authority.
