Baring Hall Hotel and Stable Block, Baring Road, SE12 SE12 - Lewisham

Public house and stable block designed by Ernest Newton, 1881-1882, with later additions. The pub is a prominent landmark in the centre of Grove Park. The stable block is unoccupied and derelict but is now secure, although not weathertight. Listed Building Consent was granted in 2021 for works to protect and preserve the building and urgent works were carried out in March 2023, making the main building secure, wind and weathertight. Applications are expected to be submitted in 2024 for repairs in order to reopen the pub, re-use upper floors and to rebuild the stable block.
