The Old Grammar School, Number 4, and attached Wall, Gate and Steps, Lincoln Road, Tuxford - Bassetlaw

Former school dating to 1669, with late C18 reorganisation. There are considerable structural issues with both the timbers and brickwork. Rainwater goods are corroded, defective and blocked with detritus. The window timbers and dormer cheeks are failing, with potential detachment. Internal and boundary brickwork has partially collapsed in places, creating significant voids, with some areas of masonry unsupported and at risk of further collapse. There are ongoing issues of asbestos, damp, mould and beetle infestation. The building was purchased in 2023/4 and a repair scheme is being explored.
