Low Mill furnace, Cawthorne - Barnsley
A small, rural, ironworks. The remains of the conical blast furnace are attached to a single-storey building with arched cart entrances to each side. The blast furnace supports a heavy growth of self-set trees and brambles. The stone-slated roof of the attached building is deteriorating. Plans for reuse have been discussed with the owner.
