Lime kilns at Betchworth Quarry, Betchworth - Mole Valley
An important group of C19 and C20 brick built lime kilns. Three of the structures (the Dietsch, remains of the six Flare kilns and remaining Hoffman kiln) are at risk due to a longstanding lack of regular maintenance. A condition survey of the structures has been completed and estimated cost of the repairs produced. Sources of funds to implement the repairs now need to be identified.
